Hope 2008 is the fourth International conference, being organized by DAIRRC, (in consultative status with the United Nations’ Economic & Social Council), to address the 5 main issues threatening the survival of our planet today. This conference, will be held from 10th to 12th October 2008, in Mumbai, India, and will have simultaneous, concurrent sessions on Environment, Population & Sustainable Development, HIV/AIDS, Alcohol Abuse/Drug Abuse, and Human Rights.

2000, Hope 2002 and Hope 2005
were organized by United Nations AIDS, United Nations Drug
Control Program, National AIDS Control Organization and the Ministry
of Health, Government of India in association with Drug Abuse
Information Rehabilitation & Research Centre which
is involved in Harm Reduction, Drugs and AIDS prevention campaigns,
seminars, workshops, conferences, conventions and drug rehabilitation
in India. Details of these conferences, are provided in their
